Whether you are working in the public interest sector and want to use technology to increase the impact of your organization's work, or you are a technologist who wants to leverage your digital skills for good, it can be difficult to get started.

Through conversation with a civic tech entrepreneur and a designer focused on social impact projects, we will discuss best practices and key learnings for creating a community-driven digital project.

Noelle Francois is the founding Executive Director of Heat Seek, an innovative NYC-based nonprofit working to end tenant harassment and displacement through web connected temperature sensors. With their data, public interest attorneys, community organizers and city officials can advocate on behalf of at-risk tenants. Heat Seek is a NYC BigApps winner and has been featured in dozens of publications, including Reuters and CNBC.
Lee-Sean Huang is the cofounder and creative director of Foossa, a consultancy that helps organizations tell stories, design services and build community for a more inclusive and resilient future.
